The short answer is “Yes”. PSV doesn’t require a prior background in business and investment. However, your determination to learn and your willingness to explore will be a key factor.

PSV has a set of requirements for a startup to be eligible for funding. Please check the requirements for further details.

PSV invests in early stage startups/ideas with co-founders between 18-30 years of age. However, we do require that at least one member in the team is an active enrolled student.

There is no cost to apply for investment. PSV encourages you to report any fradulent services/personnel that ask you to pay any charge throughout the investment process. PSV, through founders’ support, is committed to potentially providing access to non-financial resources like mentorship, access to networking events, product showcase events, and so on.

PSV invests in early stage startups/ideas who might/might not have an MVP ready.

PSV doesn’t have a specific cap on the number of investments. PSV will be investing on all startup/ideas that PSV deems fit for investment. For reference, PSV invested in three startups in its first investment cycle.

PSV will be investing up to NRs 1 lakh on each venture/idea. If your prototype requires more funding, PSV will try its best to introduce you to a community of investors who might be willing to invest in your venture/idea.

PSV makes investment in cycles. Each cycle, we open applications for startups, conduct the due diligence, and invest in deserving startups showcasing their potential. This is what a complete investment cycle at PSV looks like: 

Sourcing: This is the first stage of our investment cycle. Here, we reach out to founders and start accepting applications for investment. After initial vetting, only 15-20 startups are selected for the ideation sprint.

Ideation Sprint: In the second stage, PSV conducts an eight-session ideation sprint focused on getting entrepreneurs startup-ready. 

Diligence: Following the successful completion of the ideation sprint, the founders are required to submit a final assignment through which PSV’s investment team evaluates every aspect of the startup. This also includes meeting with the founders. 

Investment: Following the conclusion of due diligence, the funds are handed to the startups that we have decided to invest in. It might be a one-time investment or one that is made over several phases and given upon reaching mutually agreed-upon milestones. 

Founder's Support: After making the investment, we support the founders by helping them with the resources they require and, if needed, connecting them with mentors. 

Follow up: We stay in touch with the startups to check on progress and status for milestones.
